Washington (wko) - Die Weltbank in Washington D.C. lädt u.a. österr. Staatsbürger mit einem abgeschlossenem Universitätsstudium, welche derzeit weitere Studien betreiben (z.B. Doktoratsstudien), zu einer Bewerbung für ein bezahltes Praktikum im Sommer 2004 (mindestens vier Wochen) ein. Sehr Gute Englischkenntnisse sind nötig. World Bank: Summer 2004 Internships Available Applications for the 2004 Summer Internship program are being accepted through March 31. The program is open to students who are nationals of the Bank's member countries. Its goal is to offer young people an opportunity to improve their skills and to work in an international environment. To be eligible, candidates must possess an undergraduate degree and be enrolled full-time as graduate students pursuing a master's or Ph.D. degree, with plans to return to school in a full-time capacity. The program typically seeks candidates in the fields of Economics, Finance, Human Development (Public Health, Education, Nutrition, Population), Social Science (Anthropology, Sociology), Agriculture, Environment, Private Sector Development, as well as related fields. Fluency in English is required. Prior relevant work experience and computing skills are advantages, as well as knowledge of languages such as French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese or Chinese. The Bank pays an hourly salary and, where applicable, provides an allowance toward travel expenses. Interns are responsible for their own living accommodations. Most positions are in Washington, and are a minimum of four weeks in duration.
